Stories, photographs and memories from a life well lived
Chapter 1 · Childhood
I grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and that was the only home I knew. It was brand-new when my parents got it — I actually have pictures of the construction site, which is kind of cool. It was a pretty big house, with five bedrooms and three and a half baths. I had my own room, and my brother did too, but my sister had to double up. My father passed away on March 4th, 2026, and that gave me the idea to create this app. I love him, and I wish I had been able to record his words and his experiences.
A gentle follow-up
You mentioned having your own room in that house. What do you remember about how it looked or felt when you were young?

Chapter 1 · Childhood
The thing I took the most value out of was playing in the Little League. It kept me busy all summer long, and it was where some of my best friendships were formed — the travel teams, the all-star games, the regular season. Football came later, but Little League started early, and I loved every second of it.
Chapter 2 · Family
My parents divorced when I was small, so I didn't get to see my father very often — sometimes months would pass between visits. But he kept us in the loop with the family. He took me to see my grandparents and my great-grandfather, and they would make these huge breakfasts for all of us. I still remember the smells, the tastes, the homemade food — it was always a good time.
He came back into my life as I became an adult, and it was more of a man-to-man relationship, which was good. He was a good listener. He was a very smart man — he worked for GM, then became an executive at Ford, and held both an attorney's license and an accounting license. I looked up to him for that, because I know the work it took. He loved life and he loved to travel — San Francisco, Hawaii, North Carolina. I think he was happy for the most part. I do miss him, and I hope he's resting in a good place.
